OOTD: Persian Nights

I’m calling this my outfit of the day, however it’s actually from a big event we had last week. A couple more baby pounds down and I was feeling good at Culture & Cocktails: Persian Nights. This was a great combination of utilizing something new I bought this for the event and combining it with something from the back of my closet I have forgotten about.

I purchased a T by Alexander Wang modal lace-up bodysuit during the holiday sales in the wine color t ht was available for fall. It seems to be a new staple for AW as its currently available in some new fresh colors for spring. I knew it was perfect for this event but i toiled forever with what to pair it with. I must have tried every skirt in my closet until i came across my dress shorts. i pulled out these Marc Jacobs high-waisted shorts with metallic panthers i have had for years. It somehow reminded me of the motifs in the ancient Persian galleries we were celebrating.

I love putting these event outfits together. I also just love these portrait my friend Bronson took of me in the galleries and wanted to share them.

Overall it was a smashing good night and another event success!
