Sometimes magic happens when you don’t overthink. For most of my shoots I spend weeks planning everything to pair that ideal location with the perfect matching outfit and ambiance, but sometimes an opportunity presents itself and you just need to act! This is a great practice I need to indulge in more as the perfectionist planner I am. I got contacted last minute by an amazing photographer in town just for the weekend and my knee jerk reaction was to say “no I just don’t have enough time to plan and think about this,” but instead I decided to just go meet up with her and see what happens! I’m so glad I did. She is amazingly talented and we jived right away. And not having to overthink the location gave the freedom to just let the place and it’s angles speak to us. And this outfit wasn’t final until 10 minutes before I walked out the door!!! There is pure poetry in these photos and a lightness that gives me joy.
