Something I have been missing the most during 2020 is my gym community. For over 15 years, I have always been part of a gym or studio and have made so many friends who share my love of fitness. I have managed to stay fit during this time thanks to the prolific availability of online classes, however it is just not the same. I’m still working out from home, but when I heard an artist friend of mine Stefanie Bales was doing a wall mural in The Studio in Bankers Hill, I know this would be a great place to shoot and a fun chance to somewhat merge my love of fitness and fashion. Stefanie’s palette in this geometric color-blocked mural is just so happy and inspired me to play with color blocking in the whole outfit from head to toe. It’s also never a bad idea to add multicolor dancing ribbons…especially in a studio space. The owner was nice enough let Stefanie, Angela (Create with Gusto) and I come in and play in the space between classes. The shots we got re truly whimsical…if only I looked like this when I was actually exercising HAHA.
